Financial Aid Refunds
What's Changing this Fall
What's Changing this Fall
Olympic College is implementing changes to how Financial Aid refunds are disbursed beginning Fall 2025.
What's Changing Fall 2025
New Bookstore Credit
- Eligible students will automatically receive a credit each quarter to purchase textbooks and course materials at the OC Bookstore online or in-person.
- Available if your expected anticipated aid exceeds tuition and fees.
- Valid for use during the first two weeks of each quarter.
- Charges apply to your student account and will be covered by financial aid when disbursed.
- If you do not attend or withdraw from all classes, you may be required to repay the charges.
Delayed Refunds Based on Final Enrollment
Excess financial aid refunds will no longer be disbursed the first week of the quarter and will now be issued after the add/drop period (10th class day of the quarter) to reflect your confirmed course schedule and comply with federal regulations.
Refund eligibility requires:
- Financial aid to be fully disbursed.
- No outstanding student account balance.
- A refund method set up in BankMobile.
- Visit the OC BankMobile webpage for instructions.
Three Easy Steps

1Set up BankMobile Refund Option
When your aid disburses, any excess financial aid funds will be sent through BankMobile. Make sure to enter your refund preferences (direct deposit, BankMobile Vibe, or check) ahead of time so you get your refund fast and secure.

2Use bookstore credit during the first two weeks
Eligible students will automatically receive a credit amount based on the number of credits you are enrolled in. Visit the OC Bookstore early to pick up your materials and let your aid cover the cost.

3Keep an eye on your OC student email
This is where we’ll send all Fall 2025 updates about your aid disbursement, bookstore credit, refunds, and anything you need to know.
