Overview

As part of the admissions process, it's important to determine the starting level in English and Math.  All associate degree programs, and some certificate programs, require placement in these subjects.

The Assessment & Testing Center administers: 

  • English and Math placement assessment (more information below).
  • Biol&241 and Chem&141 placement assessment (The Testing Center also administers placement assessments for Biology 241 and Chemistry 141. See below for more information about the options available to you.

For all other placements, please visit Course Placements & Prerequisites, which includes:

  • High School Transcripts and SBA Scores 
  • ACT, SAT, and PSAT Scores
  • College Course Review
  • Reciprocity Placements

FEE

$25 NON-REFUNDABLE FEE for in-person placement testing.

$50 NON-REFUNDABLE FEE for virtual placement testing.

Students using a voucher from Labor & Industries, WorkFirst or other entity should redeem their voucher at the Cashier's Office for a receipt and take their test as a walk-in.

Assessment & Testing Centers at OC

In-person placement assessment testing is only available at the Bremerton Campus at this time. Remote testing via Zoom is available for all three campuses.
