GED Overview

The GED test is made up of 4 subjects, broken into separate exams. You don’t have to take all 4 tests at once - you can space them out however it suits you and go at your own pace. Here is an overview of what is on the GED, by subject area. Subjects include: 

• Math
• Language Arts
• Social Studies
• Science

GED Test Subjects

The Olympic College Testing Center administers the computer-based GED test on behalf of GED Testing Services. 

• GED Testing is available by appointment Monday – Friday.

Assessment & Testing Services

1. You must be 16 or older to take the test. 
2. If you are under the age of 19, you must provide documentation verifying that they are not enrolled in any type of high school program at the time of testing. 
   1. Approval to test form: Request-for-Approval-to-Test 
   2. Home school students: Home School Student Request Form
3. You must be Washington resident to test in the state of Washington.
