How to Set Up Your BankMobile Account to Access Your Refund
Receiving your refund from OC has never been easier with BankMobile! Follow these simple steps to set up your account and access your funds quickly and securely.

1Look Out for the Refund Selection Kit
Once you receive your award letter, BankMobile will send you a Refund Selection Kit in the mail. This kit contains important information and a personal code needed to set up your account. Keep an eye on your mailbox for a green envelope! If you receive an email from BankMobile but do not receive a green envelope after a few days, then you can still set up your account with your student email. Follow the next steps below to set up your account on the provided website.
2Visit the BankMobile Website
Go to the BankMobile Refund Selection website. This is the portal where you’ll set up your preferences for receiving your refund.
3Enter Your Personal Code
Locate the personal code from your Refund Selection Kit and enter it on the BankMobile Refund Selection website. If you don't have your personal code, you can still log in using your school email address and have a new code sent to you.
4Create Your Profile
You’ll need to create a BankMobile profile by providing some basic information:
- Name
- Email Address
- Date of Birth
- School Information
Make sure the details match your school's records to avoid any delays.
5Choose Your Refund Preference
BankMobile offers several options for receiving your refund. Select the one that works best for you:
- Direct Deposit (ACH) to an Existing Bank Account: Have your refund transferred directly to your current checking or savings account.
- BankMobile Vibe Checking Account: Open a new checking account with BankMobile, where your refund will be deposited. This option provides access to a debit card, mobile banking, and other features.
- Paper Check: If you prefer, you can opt to receive a paper check mailed to your address. This option may take longer than the electronic methods and is subject to an USPS delays.
6Confirm Your Selection
After choosing your refund preference, confirm your selection. Review all the information carefully to ensure everything is accurate. If everything looks good, submit your choice.
7Activate Your BankMobile Vibe Debit Card (If Applicable)
If you selected the BankMobile Vibe Checking Account, you’ll receive a debit card in the mail. Follow the instructions provided to activate your card and set up your PIN.
8Monitor Your Refund Status
You can check the status of your refund anytime by logging into your BankMobile account. You’ll receive notifications via email or text message when your refund has been processed and disbursed.
