English as a Second Language (ESL)

1. New students must attend and online Transitional Studies Orientation before enrolling classes. 
2. International students with F-1 or M-1 visa, or “nannies”/au pairs here on J-1 visas may not participate in ESL. 
3. Students on tourist or business (B-1, B-2) visas who take ABE/ESOL or other “short” classes may not be allowed to re-enter the US.
4. Tuition is $25 per quarter. These fees are waived for students who qualify based on financial need.

Transitional Studies

ESL is designed to help non-native English speaking adults improve their English skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

ESL classes are available at the Bremerton, Poulsbo, and Shelton Campuses.

Yes, classes are offered in-person and online. Class options may vary by campus.

Times vary by location, but typically classes are available mornings, afternoons, and evenings. 

No, International students holding the following visas are not eligible for this program and should contact our International Education Program.
