Clery Act: Annual Security Report

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act is a consumer protection law that aims to provide information on campus crime policy and statistics. The Clery Act requires colleges and universities that receive federal funding to disseminate an Annual Security Report (ASR) to employees and students. The ASR includes campus policies and details about efforts taken to improve campus safety. Statistics include crimes for the preceding three calendar years and that occurred on-campus, in off-campus buildings, and property owned or controlled by Olympic College, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the Olympic College. For more information on the Clery Act, please visit the Clery Center.

Drug-Free Schools & Community Act: Drug & Alcohol Prevention Program  Report

The Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act (DFSCA) recognizes the serious effects of drug abuse on students and employees. The DFSCA requires that all colleges and universities receiving federal funding develop and implement a program to prevent the unlawful possession, use, or distribution of illicit drugs and alcohol by students and employees. The program must include annual notifications and a biennial review and report of the program’s effectiveness and the consistency of the enforcement of sanctions.
