Olympic College Policy on Mission Fulfillment

Scope
This Policy applies to the Board of Trustees, President’s Office and all departments at Olympic College.
Purpose & Background
As a mission-focused institution, Olympic College monitors annual progress toward the fulfillment of our mission in alignment with the standards of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). To achieve this, we establish specific outcomes, objectives and data indicators to track trend lines over time and accomplishment of specific benchmarks.
Definitions
Mission Fulfillment Indicator: A specific, measurable criterion that a college or university uses to demonstrate its progress toward achieving its unique mission.
Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities: NWCCU provides institutional accreditation for public and private institutions of higher education. This is the accrediting body for Olympic College.
Resource Allocation: The strategic process of intentionally distributing financial, human, and physical assets to advance the institution's stated mission, goals, and priorities.
Policy
The Board of Trustees expects the College to identify key indicators, monitor progress, and use results to improve institutional effectiveness and inform resource allocation. The Board of Trustees directs the President and college personnel to monitor and report on performance data related to mission fulfillment indicators on an annual basis.
