Support for Student Achievement

Policy Number: 100-13

I. The College supports an accessible learning environment that enables the success and completion of educational goals for all students.

II. The College supports diversity, equity, inclusion and success policies and/or actions that are supportive of systems and a culture that focuses on success for EVERY current and future Olympic College student.

III. The College supports an alignment of student success and completion metrics with strategic decision-making regarding the College's resources, organizational structures, policies, and practices. This includes, but is not limited to, enrollment/retention, technology, instructional delivery, pedagogy, curriculum, and student support programs.

IV. To enhance student success, the College supports diverse, respectful, honest, civil and constructive discourse in a culture of shared responsibility and collaboration throughout the institution as well as in partnerships with all levels of education and training within the community, local employers, and the workforce and community organizations.

V. The College, a learning organization, supports professional development, thoughtful risk-taking and innovation, and using student success measures to inform risk-taking, innovation, program initiation, program review, professional development plans, and performance expectations.
