The High School Completion program allows you to pursue a high school diploma by taking courses at Olympic College just any other student. The Counselors manages the High School Completion program. They will work with you to determine which subjects you have yet to met and specific courses needed to satisfy requirements to earn the high school diploma. Some students may receive a reduced tuition rate when they reach the age of 19. See information below for more details.

Follow the steps below to start your towards completing your goal of earning a High School Completion Credential.

1Get Official Transcripts from your High School or college
Official high school transcripts must delivered by hand or mailed in a sealed envelop or sent via email by a third-party vendor. You may submit official transcripts from any accredited college or university you attended as well. If you are still in high school and under the age of 18, you must provide a signed High School Release form which provided the counselor to be signed the high school representative.

2Apply to Olympic College
Complete all of the Olympic College admission steps to receive your student ID number and establish residency. If necessary, you must complete the Accuplacer assessment to determine your placement in English and/or math courses.

3Have Your Transcript Reviewed
The assessment of your transcripts will determine which high school subjects are met and which requirements are not. Contact Counseling Services to verify your transcripts are on file.

4Paying for Classes
After a Counselor has identified all courses needed to complete, you will have to decide which courses to take.
Students age 19 and older may be eligible for a reduced tuition rate. This reduction is limited to 1 - 10 units per term for a total of 45 units. Students must pay other applicable course and college fees, and purchase required books and supplies. Federal financial aid is typically not unavailable for those with a diploma or equivalent. However, other funding may be available through another funding source.
