The Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse (LPN-RN) Associate in Technical Arts program is designed to prepare qualified LPNs to become RNs in four quarters, plus one transition course. The curriculum includes a balance of general education courses, nursing theory, and nursing practice.

Updated PREREQUISiTE REQUIREMENT
Please note that NURSE 151 (Dosage Calculations) and NURSE 152 (Intro to Pharmacology) are now prerequisites, effective for the Winter 2023 cohort. These classes do not need to be completed before applying to the program, but must be completed before starting the program in winter quarter. Students who are provisionally accepted to the program must complete NURSE 151 and NURSE 152 with the required GPA no later than Fall 2022 to be admitted to the program in Winter 2023.
