What Does a Medical Assistant Do?

Medical assistants play a vital role in patient care and clinic operations. They work alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support both clinical and administrative functions. Responsibilities may include taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, performing basic lab tasks, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records. Medical assistants help ensure clinics run smoothly while providing compassionate, front-line care to patients every day.
