This is a paper art compilation workshop that teaches how to create a junk journal: construction and decoration, signature creation and binding, individual page collages, pockets, tuck spots and inserts, embellishments. The instructor will supply students with the materials, and students are asked to bring their own scissors and ruler.

This workshop will introduce you to the art of journal-making in a relaxed and fun environment. We will start by creating a couple small pamphlet journals, then we learn the stitching, and try different combinations of papers. Then we'll explore more elaborate combinations and stitches.

This workshop is a great opportunity to use up some paper you have been saving (old bills, envelopes, and scraps!) to create a journal that feels as expressive as you are!
