Meteorology
Overview
Meteorology is the study of the earth’s atmosphere and weather, including the effects of long-term climate and human behavior. Meteorologists study the nature of the air that makes up the atmosphere and the processes that produce weather events. About half of career meteorologists work in education and research, with the other half involved in operational forecasting and public information careers.

Academic Programs
Olympic College offers a variety of biological, environmental, chemistry, geology and atmospheric science courses that you can take as distribution requirements and electives towards your degree. We offer two options: Associate in Arts - Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA): Meteorology; and Associate in Science - Transfer, Track 2 (AS-T, Track 2): Meteorology.
