BAS in Behavioral Healthcare Application

Applicants are encouraged to apply early, and no later than March 31, for the best chance of admission. Applicants who apply after April 1 may be placed on a waitlist if the program is full. Review of materials will begin April 1.

To be admitted, applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Those below 3.0 remain eligible to apply and will be considered, though they should also explore applications to other schools given the competitive nature of admissions.

An advising appointment and background screening with a faculty advisor are required before an acceptance letter can be offered. Students are encouraged to complete the mandatory advising and background screening appointment before submitting their application to the program. Admission is competitive and is not guaranteed.

1Apply for Admission to OC
  • If you haven't already applied to Olympic College, complete the admissions steps.

2Submit Official Transcripts
  • You do not need to submit an official OC transcript.
  • You will need to provide an official transcript for all college-level coursework completed outside of OC. Your application will not be reviewed until all official transcripts are received. 
  • Please submit a Transcript Evaluation Request Form to start the transfer credit review process.

3Prepare A Professional Resume
  • Please see resume examples and tips on the OC Career Center page.
  • Federal resumes (e.g., USA Jobs) will not be accepted.
  • You will be required to upload a copy of your resume in the online application. Acceptable file formats include MS Word or PDF.

4Prepare Your BAS-BH Personal Statement
  • Please prepare a personal statement describing how your unique experiences and attributes (background, identity, culture, beliefs, values, or experiences) will contribute to your success in the BAS-BH program. It is suggested that you prepare your answer before beginning the application in a Word document so you can copy and paste it into the online application.
