BAS in Behavioral Healthcare Application Checklist
The BASBH Application Review Committee would like to share the sections of the BAS Behavioral Healthcare Application. While the application will not be available until January 1, 2026, you can begin gathering your course information, working on your resume and drafting a cover letter in advance.
- Student Data: Applicants will need to provide information including their first and last name, student ID, phone number, and indicate whether they are a new, returning, or re-entry applicant.
- Optional Statistical Information: This data will not be used in admissions process.
- Application Type: Are you an Apprenticeship student (Behavioral Health Tech, SUDPT, or Peer) with the SEIU Healthcare Multi-Employer Training Fund? Applicant will need to answer either yes or no.
- Prior Education: In this section, you will indicate the course completed and the grade received for each of the general education categories. Applicants should have earned 50 credits or more of the required general education courses prior to the start of the program. Exceptions may be made for those with 45 credits of general education requirements.
- Colleges, Technical Schools, and Universities Attended: You are required to list ALL colleges, technical schools, and universities attended (including AP coursework taken in high school), in the order of attendance, regardless of whether the courses/transcripts are applicable to your application. Official Transcripts must be submitted to the Office of Admissions at Olympic College for ALL schools listed.
- Upload Reflective Statement: The Reflective Statement should be no more than two pages (or 500 words), double-spaced, size 12 font (Arial or Times New Roman) with 1-inch margins. Reflective Statements will be reviewed and scored by Olympic College Behavioral Health Program faculty and staff. Olympic College reserves the right to process submissions through a plagiarism checker (Turnitin). Provide three or more examples of how your unique experiences and attributes (background, identity, culture, beliefs, values, or experiences) will contribute to your success in the Behavioral Health Program and align with the Olympic College Behavioral Health Program Mission.

- Upload Resume: The Resume should be no more than two pages, size 12 font (Arial or Times New Roman) with 1-inch margins. The Resume should describe the specific activities and responsibilities of your professional, volunteer, and academic experiences. Include any activities, certifications, and skills relevant to behavioral healthcare. Please indicate any languages spoken and fluency on the resume if seeking cultural wealth points for being multilingual. Resumes will be reviewed and scored by Olympic College Behavioral Health Program faculty and staff.
