Olympic College launches new website Nov. 9

News Release for Immediate Release

BREMERTON - Current and prospective Olympic College students can expect a significantly enhanced website user experience in early November. The college launched a fully redesigned website on Nov. 9 that features improved navigation, simplified organization, re-written content, and step-by-step instructions and videos for important processes.

“We are thrilled to roll out our new website, which will make it much easier to identify academic pathways, and complete processes like applying to OC, enrolling in classes, and applying for financial aid,” said OC President Marty Cavalluzzi, Ph.D. “The new website comes just in time for winter enrollment, which begins Nov. 7 for continuing and former students, and Nov. 21 for new students.”

The new website is just one of several college improvements slated to launch this winter. On Nov. 1, the college announced an end to the vaccination verification mandate for students under the COVID-19 state of emergency. This winter, all students can enroll in in-person classes and utilize on-campus services like tutoring, libraries, and computer labs, while continuing to have access to all of the online services students have come to rely on since the start of the pandemic.

“The college cannot wait to welcome all students back to our campuses,” Cavalluzzi said. “As we enter this new stage of the pandemic, we are positioned to meet students where they are at with a comprehensive mix of in-person and online programs and services.”

There will also be more food options this winter with the re-opening of the Olympic Café and Espresso Bar.

The new website will go live after a brief outage of approximately ten minutes to one hour. The college will have support services available throughout the day, should students encounter any problems.
