Teamwork is an introductory course designed to provide learners with a foundational understanding of effective collaboration in group settings.  

The course covers the characteristics of successful teams, decision-making in teams, leadership in teams, basic project planning & time management, and goal setting.  

By the end of Teamwork, students should have acquired a comprehensive understanding of effective teamwork principles and practices.   

Developing Workplace Readiness Certificate - Job Search Preparation

Job Search Preparation offers learners an introductory exploration into the fundamental principles of effective applying for and interviewing for jobs.

The course covers the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently navigate job interviews  
By the end of Job Search Preparation, students will be equipped to prepare effectively, showcase their qualifications and experiences, articulate their strengths, and answer interview questions with poise and professionalism. 

Developing Workplace Readiness Certificate - Resume Writing

Resume Writing offers learners an introductory exploration into the fundamental principles of effective writing techniques for crafting impactful resumes.  

The course covers the key components of effective resumes and cover letters.  

By the end of Resume Writing, students will be able to craft a resume that effectively highlights their skills, experiences, and achievements, tailored to specific job opportunities. 

Career Connect: CIA Intelligence, Cyber, & Security

Matt Fox is a senior security and intelligence professional with more than 25 years of service at the Central Intelligence Agency, where he departed as a Senior Executive. His leadership spanned insider threat, cyber, and personnel security operations, with foreign and domestic assignments ranging from countering WMD proliferation to counterterrorism, cyber operations, and counterintelligence.

Art Workshops with Donna Letterese - Natural Narratives

Discover the charm of woodland creatures in this engaging art workshop! This month’s theme features two playful spotted skunks nestled in a forest setting. Follow the instructor’s guidance or let your imagination roam—add, subtract, or remix colors and textures to make your piece truly one-of-a-kind. You’ll leave with a finished illustration that captures the spirit of the season and your artistic voice. Open to all levels, this class combines expert instruction with plenty of studio time for exploration.

Shibori Dyeing - Fold, Bind, Dye: Shibori Fabric Workshop

Learn Shibori, a traditional Japanese method of creating fabric patterns through folding, binding, twisting, and clamping.

This workshop focuses on pattern design and resist techniques, while using fiber-reactive dyes for vibrant, lasting color with simple setup.

You will experiment with several Shibori methods and dye your own custom textiles.

All materials are provided, including four large cotton tea towels.

You may also bring one small cotton item to personalize.
