About Boot Camp
Boot Camp for Professional Technical Instructors is an intensive, hands-on course for Washington state Community & Technical College faculty teaching professional-technical programs. Boot-Camp is geared towards newer professors who have limited or no teaching experience, and faculty who previously attended and want to “re-boot” and re-energize.
Seasoned facilitators will introduce and model the essential components of classroom management, adult learning, and facilitating skills. Emphasis will be on practical and real-life applications. This course is not intended to take the place of the Professional-Technical Education (PTE) Methods of Teaching Courses - Level I & II.

Our Programs
Basic Boot Camp
Basic Boot Camps are intensive, 3-day, 3-credit, courses for professional-technical faculty who have limited or no teaching experience. Qualified instructors/facilitators will introduce and model essential components of classroom management, adult learning, and facilitating skills. Emphasis is on practical and real-life applications. The courses will be offered using the “Flipped Classroom” model. Participants will gain access to the course materials one week prior to the course start and will have several weeks afterwards to complete their assignments.
