Let’s hike amongst the towering cedar and fir, experiencing the wetland vegetation and wildlife that thrives around and in our local ponds and streams.
Learn how beavers shape the landscape and understand how that activity transforms waterways into productive habitats for a diversity of life. We will listen and watch for migratory and resident birds that rely on these protected wetlands for shelter and food. And we will trace the life cycle of salmon through the waterways we pass. Be sure to dress for the weather.
Participants will meet at a park in North Kitsap. Exact location will be sent before the class begins.
