
The balance of nature is a wonder to behold. This class will consist of an outdoor hike of approximately 1.5 miles through forested valleys to the banks pristine salmon streams.
Learn about local Chum and Coho salmon completing their epic life cycle, observing their migration and spawning behaviors up close. You'll also learn about the native trees, shrubs and the underground connections that comprise this highly valuable ecosystem and the ways in which the salmon and forests are connected.
Leave this experience with knowledge about native plants and a deep appreciation about the value of our connected natural ecosystems.
Join ecology professor Amy Lawrence as you journey through Kitsap County's last old growth forest as she explains the interconnectivity of all that you see and can't see.
