This is a series of introductory courses that explore all facets of the construction industry. Rather than focusing on a specific trade, these classes provide a comprehensive overview of the construction process—from initial planning and permitting to budgeting, scheduling, cost estimating, and project management.
Students will gain insight into both personal and professional construction projects, and learn how to approach them with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed. The series also highlights various career paths within the construction field.
Learn how to build a comprehensive budget for projects of any size, from simple remodels to full home builds. This class covers defining project scope, planning for contingencies, and managing expectations when unexpected costs arise.
