This is a series of introductory courses that explore all facets of the construction industry. Rather than focusing on a specific trade, these classes provide a comprehensive overview of the construction process—from initial planning and permitting to budgeting, scheduling, cost estimating, and project management.
Students will gain insight into both personal and professional construction projects, and learn how to approach them with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed. The series also highlights various career paths within the construction field.
This class introduces students to the wide range of career opportunities in construction management, with a focus on corporate roles. Learn how professionals oversee projects to meet time, budget, and quality goals. Additional career paths in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors will be discussed, including the growing presence of women in the field.
