2Receive I-20 Form
Once we receive your complete application and required documents, we will mail you an admission packet that contains your official Olympic College acceptance letter and your I-20, which is a legal document that proves you have been accepted to a program of study in the United States. Olympic College reserves the right to require applicants to pay a tuition deposit in order complete their application. If required, this decision will be made in writing to the applicant. The I-20 form is the immigration document that you will need to apply for a student visa at your local U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

3Determine English Placement
International students determine English proficiency via a no-cost placement test, or other options. See below for more info, or contact our office to schedule your exam.

4Pay for Housing
Make sure you have secure housing in place before you arrive. Visit our international student housing webpage for more info.

5Apply for F-1 Student Visa
Once you receive your I-20, pay the SEVIS I-901 fee online. Print your receipt and schedule an appointment for a visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate nearest you.
For more information about applying for an F-1 student visa, see How to Apply for a Student Visa.

6Arrive in the U.S.
As soon as you receive your F-1 visa, email our office so that we can plan for your arrival, including arranging for transportation from the airport. When you enter the U.S., show the immigration officer your I-20 and your passport with valid student visa.
