Homesteading Basics is an introductory course designed for individuals interested in developing practical skills for small-scale, self-sufficient Homesteading.
Participants in this course will examine essential homesteading subjects, including selecting suitable small animal livestock, basic animal husbandry techniques, and considerations for housing and feeding, while also managing time and costs effectively and integrating sustainable practices into daily routines.
Individuals attending the program will develop an understanding of the realistic requirements for starting homesteading activities in the Pacific Northwest, specifically focusing on small-acreage and backyard-scale operations.
The focus will be on practical decision-making while avoiding common beginner mistakes and developing manageable systems for long-term success.
