Shining the Spotlight on Filmmaking Student Mora Morales
Olympic College Filmmaking student Mora Morales used her acting chops in The College Tour, a Prime Video television show. In her performance she expertly delivers her lines, describing the welcoming community she found at OC, and even crying on command. But it wasn’t all an act—she really loves OC. “From the moment I stepped foot onto this campus, I knew I was part of a family,” she said.
Mora is earning a Bachelor of Applied Science in Filmmaking. In the program, students practice all aspects of making a film, from screenwriting to directing with state-of-the-art equipment and the guidance of professors who work in the field. They leave prepared for a variety of jobs in the bustling field of video production.
And according to Mora, the best part is the opportunity to work with peers. “We’re more than just classmates,” she said. “We’re collaborators.”
