Over-the-counter (OTC) medications are commonly used for pain, allergies, cough and cold symptoms, sleep problems, stomach issues, and more. However, many people do not realize that these medications can cause side effects, interact with prescription medications, or be unsafe when used incorrectly.
This practical and beginner-friendly class will help students better understand how common OTC medications work, how to use them safely, and what mistakes to avoid. Topics will include pain relievers, cold and flu products, sleep aids, allergy medications, vitamins and supplements, medication labels, and when to seek advice from a healthcare professional.
This course is for educational purposes only and does not provide individualized medical advice.
