Dive into the expressive possibilities of acrylic and mixed media as you learn to build bold, tactile abstract paintings. This hands-on workshop invites artists and curious beginners alike to experiment with texture, layering, and surface design using acrylic paint, gels, and paper collage. You’ll explore a range of tools—from palette knives to unexpected materials—while receiving personalized, one-on-one guidance in a relaxed, collaborative studio environment. Some materials are provided, so you can focus on creative play, discovery, and developing your own visual language. Supplies needed  by the student:

  • 1 Stretched Canvas - 16 x 20 inches
  • 1 Pad of mixed media paper - 9 x 12
  • 8 oz tube of matte medium (liquitex basic)
  • 8 oz tube of regular gel gloss medium (liquitex basic)
  • 4 tubes of .74 oz  liquitex basic paint - red, yellow, blue & white
