OVERVIEW
Astronomy is the study of celestial objects, including planets, moons, stars, galaxies and more. Astronomers (also called astrophysicists) use the laws of physics and mathematics to learn about the nature of matter and energy. Astronomers apply their knowledge to solve problems in navigation, space flight and satellite communications.
