The college degree or certificate you’ve always dreamed of earning is within reach thanks to the Washington College Grant. This incredible grant offers financial aid to Washington residents, covering a substantial portion, and in some cases, even full tuition at in-state institutions. The beauty of this program is that it applies not only to traditional four-year universities but also to community colleges, trade schools, and other vocational training programs.
Regardless of whether you're a recent high-school graduate or an adult returning to education after years away, this generous funding source provides you the opportunity to gain the skills and training needed to land a family-wage career. One of the most appealing aspects of the Washington College Grant is its broad applicability to families across different income levels.
For example, if you're part of a family of four making around $56,000 per year or less, you would qualify for an award covering the full cost of tuition at any approved in-state college or university, including community and technical colleges. Even if your family makes up to $112,000 per year, you are still eligible for a partial award of $1,100 per year. To estimate your award, you can use the Washington Student Achievement Council's Financial Aid Calculator.
All you have to do is submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) to find out how much you qualify for. Many of our students graduate debt-free thanks to the many funding sources available to you, including:
