Terms and Conditions

I understand that the OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card is owned by Olympic College (OC) and it has been provided to me for my personal use only. I agree not to sell or transfer my assigned OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card to another person. If I violate these terms of use, my OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card may be blocked from further use.

I will keep my assigned OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card secure and in good condition, and I will immediately report a lost, stolen, or damaged OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card to the OC Bus Pass Office. I understand that a fee may be assessed for replacement of an OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card.

I may be asked to return my assigned OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card upon request or when I am no longer a registered student or employee of OC or otherwise no longer meet the eligibility requirements of OC. If I do not return my OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card, I understand that it may be blocked for further use.

I understand that my OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card is valid for the following provided by the listed transportation Agencies: 100% of fares on Kitsap Transit Routed Bus and Local Foot Ferry services, excluding Kitsap Fast Ferries.

I understand that the OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card is not valid for fare payment on transportation services not specified in Section 4 and I am responsible for paying any additional fares required for services not covered, or not fully covered, by my assigned OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card.

I understand that any additional ORCA Products I load onto my assigned OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card will become the property of OC and the refund, if any, of such products will be made by the OC according to its refund policy.

I understand the ORCA system will record data each time I use my assigned OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card. Data will include the date, time and location of the card when it is presented. I understand this data is owned by the transit Agencies and is accessible to OC as the owner of my OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card.

I understand that the OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card must be “tapped” on a card reader to show proof of fare payment or issuance of a valid fare. Merely showing the OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card on a bus, train, ferry or light rail vehicle does not constitute proof of fare payment or issuance of a valid fare. I will be subject to a fine if the OC Bus Pass/ORCA Card is not "tapped," and I understand I will be personally responsible for any fines that may be imposed.

I understand that I must register for the OC Bus Pass/ORCA card or Bus Pass Renewal by the first day of the quarter or my card is subject to deactivation and I will be required to pay for the bus fare. Once my card has been activated it can take up to 3-4 business days for all the buses in Kitsap Transit’s fleet to recognize my card as active and I will be required to pay the full bus fare until my card becomes active. Showing the bus driver a class schedule or receipt from the college cannot be used in place of an active card.
