How OC Helped Military Spouse Tina Habibullah Achieve Her Goals

Get to know Tina Habibullah, a military spouse with big dreams, and a cast member of The College Tour, a Prime Video TV series. Tina was a licensed vocational nurse in Van Nuys, California who knew she wanted to take her career to the next level by becoming a registered nurse. For military spouses like her, moving around often is a way of life, “which makes continuing my education extremely difficult,” she said.

When Tina’s wife was stationed in Naval Base Kitsap in Bremerton, she began looking at OC’s nursing programs. She was delighted to learn that she could complete the LPN – RN program in just five quarters.

At OC, Tina found more than a class schedule that fit her schedule—she found a welcoming community. Student success coaches, and advisors in the Military & Veteran Programs office helped put Tina on a path to success while making use of her military benefits. The college also hosts clubs such as Sexuality and Gender Alliance, and an Office of the VP of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion.

“Thank you to Olympic College for making this journey as smooth as it could possibly be,” she said.
