Small Craft Maintenance
This hands-on course introduces students to the essential mechanical and electrical systems found on small vessels. Topics include DC voltage circuits, safety protocols, outboard engine types, navigational equipment, and routine maintenance schedules. Students will gain practical experience aboard a supplied vessel, learning industry-standard procedures for inspection, startup, and repair across various small craft platforms.
Introduction to Candle Making
This introductory candle-making class offers participants a comprehensive overview of the craft. Designed for beginners, the session covers essential topics such as wax selection, fragrance blending, wick sizing, and safe pouring techniques. During this class, students will create three different candles, including a travel tin candle, a small votive, and a pair of rolled tapers using sheets of beeswax. This hands-on experience provides a well-rounded introduction to candle making, allowing participants to explore various techniques and styles.
Flagging Certification
Become a certified flagger by learning safety for both the public and fellow employees. Learn how to manage interference from vehicle/pedestrian traffic, learn proper use of traffic control devices and other flagger duties. Certification issued upon passing exam.
Students who successfully pass the course receive a certification valid for three years in Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Montana.
Personal Artistry with Kitsap Art Center - Still Life in Oil Pastels

Afterward, they will learn how to use a variety of media to complete their artwork, adding color and line to bring their illustrations to life.
