Join us for the Kitsap Peninsula Mycological Society's FREE Wild Mushroom Show in the Bremer Student Center on the OC Bremerton Campus. The annual show is how local experts share fungal enthusiasm and insights with their friends and neighbors here in Kitsap. Featured experts include Noah Siegel (co-author, Mushrooms of Cascadia), Graham Steinruck (founder of Biodiversity Collective), and Aaron Hilliard (host of Mushroom Wonderland on YouTube).
On Sunday, November 1, you'll be able to:
- Meet 200 local species of fungi
- Enjoy delicious mushroom snacks
- Learn to identify local mushrooms
- Kids can explore their own discovery area
- Join a mini-foray right on campus
- Bring in a mushroom to get it identified
- Shop for gifts, artwork and books
- Shop for fresh local mushrooms
- Take home a mushroom growing kit
And if you come early there's the Parade of Shrooms!
If one day of mushrooms is not enough for you, don't forget that OC's Community Education has multitudes of classes on these fascinating fungi!
