Application to the Phlebotomy Program is a separate process from admission to Olympic College. If you have not already applied to Olympic College, complete the Olympic College admission process before submitting your Phlebotomy application.
After admission to Olympic College, activate your student accounts, including your ctcLink account and Olympic College email. For help, visit the Student Accounts webpage.
The Phlebotomy Program has limited enrollment. Admission to Olympic College does not guarantee admission to the Phlebotomy Program.
Application Timeline:
The Phlebotomy for Healthcare Providers application deadline is April, 30 for a Fall start, and January 15 for a Spring start. The application and all supporting documents must be received by the deadline. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as they are eligible.
Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Your place in the application queue is based on the date your complete application is received.
Qualified applicants will be offered admission in the order that applications are received until all available seats are filled. Qualified applicants, who were not offered admission, will be placed on a waitlist in the order their applications are received.
The Olympic College Healthcare Division reserves the right to reopen the application if additional space becomes available. If the application reopens due to space availability, the application will remain open until the first day of the quarter.
This application is valid for the current cohort only. Outdated or previously issued versions of the application will not be accepted.
Application Requirements:
To be considered for admission to the Phlebotomy for Healthcare Professionals Program, applicants must:
- Complete the Phlebotomy for Healthcare Professionals Program application.
- Meet all published program admission requirements.
- Be at least 18 years old by the start of the program.
- Have a high school diploma or GED.
Eligibility Requirements:
Admission to the Phlebotomy for Healthcare Professionals Program is also dependent upon:
1. meeting prerequisites and/or
2. transcript review for GPA
3. validation of current licensure/certification.
Qualified healthcare professionals include current unencumbered licensed/certified:
- Medical Assistant
- Certified Nursing Assistant (18 years of age)
- Licensed Practical Nurse
- Emergency Medical Technician
- Registered Nurse
- Airforce Medics (4NOX1, skill level 5)
- Navy Corpsmen (HM 00000, Rank: HM3, E-4 and above)
Students may also be admitted to the program with Administrator's permission.
Applications will also be accepted if the applicant has successfully completed at least:
- One quarter in the ATA/ADN Program (minimum 80% GPA) or
- One quarter in the PN Nursing Program (minimum 75% GPA) or
- One quarter containing a clinical course in the Medical Assisting Program (minimum 78% GPA)
Students who do not meet one of the eligibility pathways above may also be considered for admission with Administrator permission. Email healthcareadvising@olympic.edu, if you would like to learn more.
Application Checklist
- Apply to Olympic College and obtain your ctcLink ID. Application to this program is a separate procedure in addition to the application to Olympic College. If you have not applied to Olympic College, you will find admission steps and instructions to apply online on the Admissions webpage before proceeding with this application. The Welcome Center's Virtual Office may be helpful with the application process.
- After admission to Olympic College, activate your student account (ctclink, email, and Canvas accounts) before proceeding with the OC Program Application. For this application, you will need to gather your OC student ctclink ID#, OC student email account, and password. For help, visit the Student Accounts webpage.
- Review the Phlebotomy for Healthcare Providers Program qualifications and requirements.
- Recommend attending an Information Session (dates and times available on the website.
- Meet with a Healthcare Student Success Coach if you need assistance with education planning or have more questions (this can be scheduled with @email).
- Complete the current Phlebotomy for Healthcare Providers Program application.
- Submit any required supporting documentation.

Admission Process
Applications are reviewed in the order completed applications are received. Applicants who meet all admission requirements will be offered a seat until the program reaches capacity. Additional qualified applicants will be placed on a waitlist.
Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all required application materials have been submitted.
After Acceptance
Applicants offered admission will receive information about next steps, including registration and any requirements that must be completed before participating in clinical experiences.
Clinical requirements may include immunizations, background checks, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification, or other documentation required by clinical partners.
Do not submit clinical documentation with your application.
