The ceremonies will take place on the Campus Green, rain or shine! Please allow yourself ample time for travel, parking, and to check-in no later than 30 minutes prior to the ceremony time. 

Each ceremony should last approximately 75 minutes. During the event, graduates earning an Associate, Bachelor’s, or High School Diploma will receive their diploma cover along with a congratulatory note. All degrees and Graduation Honors for the 2025–2026 academic year will be listed in the Commencement program, but are not read aloud.

Check-In:

• Check-in opens 60 minutes before the ceremony begins.
• Graduates should enter through the main entrance of Building 10 - Bremer Student Center, located across from the Campus Green.

Name Cards:

• All graduates will receive a name card at check-in. The card includes instructions for lining up for the procession to the Campus Green and for crossing the stage during the ceremony.
• Graduates may update their name card to reflect a preferred name or pronunciation.

Line-Up:

• A staff member will be stationed at the degree assembly area to organize the procession in double-file order: Marshals, Platform Party, Roll Readers, Graduates, and OC Faculty and Staff.
• Graduates wishing to sit with friends should line up in front of or behind them within their line, not across from them in the opposite line.

Notes:

• Graduates who are late for the procession must report to Check-In for further instructions.
• Personal belongings, including purses, backpacks, and phones, cannot be stored on-site. Graduates should leave these items in their vehicle or with a guest.

Commencement Regalia 

Below is information on what graduates need to to know about obtaining and wearing graduation regalia for Commencement.

Purchase Your Regalia - OC Bookstore

Commencement regalia, including cap and gown packages, souvenir tassels, diploma frames, and other graduation items, can be purchased at the OC Bookstore in Building 10 at the Bremerton Campus.

The bookstore will also be open on the day of the ceremony if you need last-minute items.

More information will be posted on the OC Bookstore website mid-April.

Borrowing Regalia - Resource Center

A limited number of caps and gowns, donated by previous graduates, are available to borrow through the Resource Center.

Running Start Students:

Running Start graduates wear a while stole with their regalia.

    • Gold honor cords designate BSN honors.

Guest Seating

Seating for guests is first-come, first-served. Due to limited space, graduates are asked to limit their guests to four people.

Guests will remain standing during the processional and presentation of colors at the beginning of the ceremony. Once these portions of the ceremony are complete, guests may take their seats.

Guests who require disability-related accommodations, such as accessible seating, are encouraged to make arrangements in advance. Please contact Student Disability Services for assistance.

Parking is free, and graduates and guests are welcome to park in Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, & 7, and guests and graduates with disabilities/handicaps are welcome to park in Lot 12 off of Ohio Avenue across the street from Bremerton High School, on a first come, first served basis, as this is the closest lot to the Campus Green. 

Please do not park in Faculty/Staff Lots 1, 8, 10, 11, & 13 as these are reserved for the event staff. OC Security personnel will assist with directing traffic in the parking lots.

Olympic Photo Group (OPG) will serve as photographer for the 2026 Commencement Ceremonies. Professional photographs will be available before and after the ceremonies, and candid photos will also be taken as graduates cross the stage during the ceremony.

OPG will be located in Building 10 to take graduate portraits before and after each ceremony.

Graduates from Summer 2025, Fall 2025, and Winter 2026 have already received their diplomas by mail. Spring 2026 graduates will receive their diplomas by mail by early August 2026.

Replacement or additional diploma copies, as well as Official Transcripts are ordered through Parchment.
