Employers listing a job, co-op/internship, or volunteer position with the Career Center must abide by all state and federal rules pertaining to fair and equal employment opportunities.
The college does not endorse or recommend employers, and a posting does not constitute endorsement or recommendation.
Licensed Business/Agency
The Career Center requires employers to have a federal tax identification number and does not accept employment and internship postings or endorse the recruitment of students for:
- Positions for which an employer will not provide an hourly wage or wage range (with the exception of some internship or volunteer service positions for college credit.
- Positions requiring an investment in a product for demonstrations as a condition of employment.
- Positions that ask for a job applicant to provide a bid for services.
- Positions that require the candidate to pay the organization for their own training.
- Positions that require the student to act as an independent consultant.
- Positions requesting personal service posted by a private individual (e.g., childcare, nannies, in-home assistance, housekeeping, lawn care, cooking, etc.).
Business Requirements
- Provide an active organization website that matches the domain name of your organization (not Facebook, Instagram, Linked-In address/sites).
- Provide contact person’s full name with contact information.
- Provide a physical company address and phone number.
- Provide detail information in your job description (tasks/duties and responsibilities) or a link (URL) to your open positions(s).
