The CTE Articulation Agreement Process

1Step 1: Request

Complete our request form through DigiSigner and include:

  • Current course syllabus (PDF or Word)
  • OSPI curriculum framework (PDF or Word)

What Happens Next: The CTE Dual Credit office screens each request to ensure all required information is included.

2Step 2: Alignment

Once you have provided all required information for Step 1: Request, our CTE Dual Credit office will send an email to the CTE Director and/or High School Instructor(s) with alignment forms and instructions to complete Step 2: Alignment.

Use the forms we send you to demonstrate the alignment of your high school class content & outcomes with Olympic College course content and outcomes. Key details to demonstrate alignment may include:

  • High School Class description
  • Total instructional hours
  • Prerequisites or corequisites for your class
  • Outcomes: what students are able to do by the end of your class
  • Assessment: how you teach and assess students' learning

3Step 3: Approval

Once we receive your completed alignment documents, we will send your Request and Alignment materials to Olympic College departmental faculty for approval, revision, or denial.

OC faculty look for key pieces of evidence to ensure any college credit awarded to students is valid and appropriate. Prior to approval, faculty may request additional information and materials including:

  • Evidence of specific course content
  • Narrative re. alignment with and assessment of each “Student Learning Outcome” for relevant Olympic College Course(s)
  • High School Course Text & Supplemental Materials
  • Industry Certifications/Credentials earned by students in your class
  • Additional narrative demonstrating alignment between your class and the relevant course(s) at Olympic College
