How Advising Works
How Advising Works
Upon application to Olympic College, students work with Navigators in the Welcome Center to complete your admissions process. After completing New Student Orientation, you will meet with a Student Success Coach in the Advising Center to discuss your academic and career goals, create an academic plan, and enroll in first quarter classes. You are assigned a Success Coach based on your general area of interest (i.e. science and math, nursing, healthcare, social sciences & humanities, professional/technical).
Once you have determined the specific academic program you wish to pursue, the Success Coach will assign a Faculty Advisor in your area of study. The Success Coach and Faculty Advisory are your advising team that is assigned to you throughout your time at Olympic College
If you are undecided about your area of study, or struggling to overcome challenges affecting your academic success, you are encouraged to make an appointment with a Counselor.
