Jazzline Auditions

Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Jazzline, Olympic College’s vocal jazz ensemble! Please follow the steps below carefully to complete your audition. Contact Jonathan Campbell (@email) for more information or questions.

Ensemble Selections

Selections for ensembles will be complete by Monday, September 20, 2026. We strongly suggest you submit your audition materials by Wednesday, September 16, 2026 for full consideration. You can submit materials, after September 20, but the ensembles may already be filled. 

Jazzline Expectations

Olympic College Jazzline is organized and rehearsed as professional-level performing group. Members are expected to approach rehearsals, performances, and preparation with a high degree of responsibility, professionalism, and respect for the director and fellow musicians. 

Ensemble Expectations:

  • Attend all rehearsals and performances

  • Arrive on time and ready to begin at the scheduled start time

  • Come prepared, having learned assigned music before rehearsal

  • Practice music at least two hours per week outside of class

  • Listen to assigned recordings and study music

  • Maintain professional attitude and focused attention through entire rehearsal

Commitment to the Ensemble

While students are not required to commit to the ensemble for the entire academic year, priority is often given to students who do so. Successful jazz choirs are built on consistency and long-term musical development. Students who commit to the full year contribute significantly to the ensemble’s growth and artistic success.
