American Heart Association (AHA) HeartCode® BLS (blended learning) course includes:

  • Approximately 2 hours of self-paced online coursework, completed in advance.
    • Includes content review, skills videos, and the written exam completed online.
    • Students may retake the online written exam as many times as needed to achieve a passing score prior to attending the skills session.
    • Students must have passed the written exam with a minimum score of 84% (21/25) prior to the start of the 2-2.5 hour in-person skills practice session.
  • After successful completion of the online coursework and passing the written exam, the student will attend an approximately 2-2.5 hour in-person skills practice and testing session on the scheduled date and time.
     

Students must arrive at the skills session with proof of successful completion of the online portion. If proof cannot be provided, the student cannot participate and would need to reschedule.
