The Fire and the Foundation: A Conversation on Malcolm X

Malcolm X remains one of the most misunderstood and influential figures in the struggle for human rights. From his evolution in thought to his unwavering commitment to Black self-determination, his leadership provided a necessary counter-narrative that pushed the Civil Rights Era toward systemic change.

In collaboration with SGOC and the Kitsap Black Student Union (OC Chapter), we invite you to a deep-dive community conversation. We won't just ask "Who was he?", we will ask "What does his message demand of us now?"

Join the Discussion:

  • The Philosophy: Explore the core tenets of his leadership and his stance on global human rights.

  • The Impact: Analyze how his work shifted the landscape of the 1960s and empowered generations to come.

  • The Modern Translation: A facilitated dialogue on how his legacy informs our current fight for equity and justice in our own community.

Beyond the icon. Into the movement. Join the conversation.
