This beginning forging/bladesmithing course will teach you the basics of the trade. The class will cover proper hammering techniques, heat treatment ideas for the bladesmith, filing techniques and proper hammering methods. Whether you have never stood near a blazing forge or if you are a bit seasoned, these classes have something to offer regardless of your experience.

Beginning classes are designed to teach very specific blacksmithing safety, and techniques, while familiarizing students with forging equipment as you wield your hammer. With a focus on hammering skills, you will learn to draw, taper, and upset your projects. Blacksmithing is simple but it is not easy. Come and enjoy a day at the forge but do be careful, this ancient art is very addictive.
