Overview

Whether you are a first-time freshman or a transfer student with prior college experience, all students new to Olympic College should complete Ranger Ready Orientation.

Orientation is divided into two sections: Pre-Advising Orientation and Ranger Ready Orientation. The Ranger Ready Orientation is for all incoming students, new and transfer, and covers resources and supports to get you first day ready.

Running Start students should attend the Running Start Orientation and not the Pre-Advising Orientation. For more information, please reference your Running Start welcome email. Running Start students should still attend Ranger Ready Orientation.

Register today for Winter 2026 Ranger Ready. Students should complete the Pre-Advising orientation online prior to Ranger Ready session. Ranger Ready can be completed in person or online.

Complete New Student Orientation

Pre-Advising Orientation can be completed online via Canvas and covers your enrollment steps: funding resources, placement, pre-advising info, and enrollment info. This is a public course, so you do not need to login.

Ranger Ready Orientation can be completed in person or online. We encourage students to attend one of our in-person sessions. For Winter 2026 these in person sessions will be offered on both the Bremerton and Poulsbo campuses. These sessions last three hours and are a fantastic opportunity for you to connect with other new students, peer leaders, and college staff. You will learn how to get first day ready and learn about many of the resources and engagement opportunities available to you at the college. This section of orientation can also be completed online. You can sign-up for Ranger Ready Orientation at the link above.

If completing online, you will need to enroll into the Canvas course, OC's online course platform, so we can track your progress. Visit the Activate Student Accounts webpage and watch this helpful video for step-by-step instructions. If you need help activating your student accounts and navigating Canvas, you may visit the Welcome Center. To enroll in the online Canvas course use the link above.
