Washington State Emergency Nurses Association and Olympic College Health Care Division present the free "Stop the Bleed" course, 4 pm, May 2, in Bldg. 4, Rm. 123.
Participants must complete both the lecture/interactive course and the skills component of the Stop the Bleed course to receive a certificate of completion.
Stop the Bleed teaches three quick techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out:
- How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound
- How to pack a wound to control bleeding
- How to correctly apply a tourniquet.
