Bldg. 6 Haselwood Library

In celebration of Women's History Month, Haselwood Library will be hosting the presentation, "Beyond Rosie the Riveter: A History of Women in the Navy," at 2 pm, March 6, in Bldg. 6 (Haselwood Library), Rm. 127, and via Zoom.

When you picture women and Navy work, you probably think of "Rosie the Riveter" from World War II. But this term oversimplifies the diverse experiences and contributions of women who have worked at PSNS & IMF and the Navy across the nation for more than a century. Join Puget Sound Navy Museum Curator Megan Churchwell to explore the history of women in the Navy, with a focus on women who have served, and continue to serve, locally in the Pacific Northwest.
