About Blended
Established by students and faculty, Blended is an annual journal that offers students an opportunity for recognition and publication. Submit via the Blended Submission Form.
We value pieces that showcase, interrogate, collaborate with, and bedevil your artistic and intellectual camps. We value the emotive truths of your diverse experiences and the ordered chaos of your budding scholarship. We call for quality. We call for works that call back.

Submission Guidelines
Send us your best:
Written Work
- We accept all forms of written work, including academic scholarship, creative nonfiction, poems, short stories, novel chapters, plays, book reviews, love letters, etc.
- Prose and poetry must be typed.
- Prose must be double-spaced and 5000 words or less.
Music
- Music must be original / no covers.
Art and Photography
- All media are eligible: 2D, 3D, color, black and white, etc.
- High quality photos of artwork may be submitted.
Film and Performance Art
- Due to file sizes, films and performance art should be submitted via an unlisted YouTube link. Should your work be accepted, we will contact you regarding a file submission.
Other
- Don’t see a category here that fits your work? Great! Blended fully embraces Other. Contact our editors at @email to figure out a way to send us what you’ve got. If accepted, we’ll figure out a way to publish it.
Note: All attached written manuscripts should be in 12-point type, with at least one-inch margins and numbered pages. Fiction and nonfiction should be double-spaced. The author’s name, address, telephone number, and email address should be typed at the top of the first page. Contributors are asked to include a brief biographical note with their submissions.
We do not accept previously published material except in very rare cases. Please indicate if the piece has been previously published.
