About WorkFirst

About WorkFirst

Our program provides financial assistance to WorkFirst participants attending Olympic College while receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits from Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS). A Quarterly Referral from DSHS to Olympic College is required to engage in education and training activities.  The primary services we offer include:

  • Financial assistance towards tuition, fees, books, and support services.
  • Work-Study: Combining learning and work
  • Educational advising related to Professional-Technical programs, Transitional Studies offerings, and associate degrees such as AAS, AAS-T and AA-DTA.
