Overview

The Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA) is the form for undocumented students and others who don’t qualify for federal aid because of their immigration status or for other select applicants. 

People who complete the WASFA are applying for state aid such as the Washington College Grant, the College Bound Scholarship, Passport to Careers (for former foster youth and homeless youth), a National Guard Grant or State Work Study.

Should you complete a FAFSA or a WASFA?

If you are unsure if you should complete a FAFSA or a WASFA, complete the WASFA Eligibility Questionnaire.

Steps to Submit the WASFA

  1. New students apply for admission to Olympic College and obtain your Student ID.
  2. If you have never completed the WASFA before, you will need to create a user account: Create new WASFA user account.
  3. Once you've created your account, you can log into the WASFA application portal to begin the application. Log into the WASFA application portal.
    1. You must meet Washington state residency requirements.
