Overview

The Practical Nursing Program is a one-year Certificate of Specialization (CS) that prepares graduates to provide safe, direct patient care as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in a variety of settings, including acute care, long-term care, home health, and ambulatory care. The program includes classroom study, laboratory application, high-fidelity simulation, and supervised clinical experiences (client care).

Expected Level of Achievement (ELA): NCLEX PN pass rate of 80% (or greater) for first time test-takers within 12 months 

  • 2021: 95% NCLEX exam pass rate           
  • 2022: Pending spring 2023
