The Associate Degree in Nursing (LPN to RN) program is designed to prepare qualified LPNs to become RNs in four quarters, plus one transition course. The curriculum includes a balance of general education courses, nursing theory, and nursing practice.

To support our commitment to a holistic admission process, the Olympic College Nursing Program has changed the minimum GPA for NURSE 151 - Dosage Calculations to 2.2 (80%) or above to be qualified for admission. This change aligns with the minimum passing standard for other NURSE courses. Factor points for this course are allocated according to the revised factoring system, detailed in the application instructions for each pathway.

Updated PREREQUISiTE REQUIREMENT
Please note that NURSE 151 (Dosage Calculations) and NURSE 152 (Intro to Pharmacology) are now prerequisites, effective for the Winter 2023 cohort. These classes do not need to be completed before applying to the program, but must be completed before starting the program in Winter quarter. Students who are provisionally accepted to the program must complete NURSE 151 and NURSE 152 with the required GPA no later than Fall 2022 to be admitted to the program in Winter 2023.

The Olympic College wishes to announce that it will host a site visit for continuing accreditation of its Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) (Registered Nurse & Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse) Program by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
You are invited to meet with the site visit team and share your comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled at 1100AM on October 9, 2024, in room 521, Building 5 located at 1600 Chester Avenue, Bremerton, WA.
