About The Campus

About The Campus

At Olympic College-Shelton, you can earn an associate degree, transfer degree, or technical certificate of training right here at your community college. We can help you choose an academic pathway that will meet your career goals. Our faculty members are invested in your success whether you attend in-person and/or online. Small class sizes offer a more personal and supportive experience. Campus resources include: academic advising, enrollment, financial aid, disability access, IT support, student activities, tutoring, veterans services, and Workforce development programs.

Additional continuing education opportunities are consistently offered for residents who wish to complete their high school diploma, learn English, gain new career skills, or pursue personal interests. These classes are affordable and registration is easy.

Running Start is a popular program that offers eligible junior and senior high school students to earn college credits - for free! These students continue to earn their diploma while taking in-person college classes that can transfer to a university and/or earn them an associate's degree.

The campus itself is a quaint, park-like setting situated on 27-acres central to town. We've been part of the Shelton community for over 50 years and took root at our current location in 1995. A handful of buildings host our classrooms, computer labs, department offices, a testing center, and dedicated library. Our John Bremer Welding Center, constructed in 2017, is exclusively for students learning this trade.

Student Services

Palmer Student Center

The Palmer Student Center is prominently located at the campus entry and a hub where people come and go all day. Within the space you will find Student Services staff working to assist students with college admissions, academic program information, advising, enrollment, registration, and support resources. Personalized guidance is available for those needing 1:1 help with online applications and/or student accounts.

A Student Government (SGOC) office is also located in the loft area where a student employee works part time advocating on behalf of the college student body. The SGOC organizes campus-wide events and decides how to allocate the budget for student activities. The loft area is also reserved for tutoring.
